Cancelling Bilva Pro

Six steps in Google Play, and it is done. Everything you have made stays on your phone, unlimited and free.

Cancelling happens in Google Play, not in Bilva. Google takes the payment, so Google is the only place that can stop it. The app can open Play’s subscription page for you, and that is the whole of what the app can do.

How to cancel

  1. 1Open the Google Play app on the phone you bought Pro on.
  2. 2Tap your profile picture, top right.
  3. 3Tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  4. 4Tap Bilva Pro in the list.
  5. 5Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.
  6. 6Check the subscription now reads Expires on with a date, rather than Renews on. That is your confirmation, from Google, that nothing further will be charged.

You can also start from inside Bilva. The Pro screen has a Manage or cancel subscription action; it opens Bilva’s cancellation screen, which shows the date you have paid to; the button there opens Google Play at step 5. Two taps to reach Play, and Play is still where it happens — the app cannot cancel on your behalf, and it will not pretend to.

What happens to your work

Nothing. This is the short answer and it is the whole answer.

Billing, refunds, and going wrong

You keep Pro until the date you have paid to

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not cut the year short, and there is no partial refund for the remainder by default.

Refunds are Google’s to give

Because Google Play takes the payment, refund requests go through Play. If Play turns one down and you think it was wrong, write to support@bilva.app and I will take it up.

If you are charged after cancelling

Send the charge date and the Google Play order number to support@bilva.app. That should not happen; if it does, it is worth knowing about and it will be dealt with.

Coming back

Buy Pro again whenever you want and the features switch back on over the records you already have. There is no re-entry fee and no set-up to redo.
